  Sick colleagues

  I’m sure we’ve all had that uncomfortable interaction with a colleague – they walk in sniffling, coughing, complaining they’re sick but “aren’t contagious” or something like that. For us, this isn’t a game, our health may seriously be at stake.

  1. How do you navigate these complicated boundaries? It can be very uncomfortable to ask that a colleague stay away or even go home.
  2. Has this happened often?
  3. This can be further complicated by the fact that some workplaces may not be aware of you having CF so you can’t be as explicit about your reservations. For those that keep CF more private, what do you do?
