If you had to choose one word to describe 2020, what would it be?
What word best encapsulates your experiences, thoughts, and feelings throughout the year?
Good, bad, or downright ugly, I want to hear it! No explanation necessary (although feel free to explain if you’re so inclined).
My word for the year: Perspective
What word would you choose?
I absolutely love your word (and those of everyone commenting). Wow… it’s hard to find one when yours fits so well, Jenny!
Hmm… I guess I’d say: Savor.
Not fancy. There are better words out there. But… it just feels right?
Being forced to slow down this year and not be traveling for work and rushing around as in previous seasons has really pushed me to “savor” the little things even more. Whether being at home… having the freedom to walk through a store or drive a car or move with ease (things of which I didn’t often get to do this year)… be in my happy space- a dance studio or stage with my peers and friends… and on and on.
And even though some of it is remembering to savor things I’ve lost, some is also savoring things I’ve gained. More time with my girls at home. More time with my partner to have hard conversations and work through things we never had time to do before. More time.
