Like everyone, life has had its ups and downs. My brother and I were both born with CF so growing up with an exception to the 6 foot rule for the most part, having him around has made life a little easier with someone to relate to. From the start of puberty until a few years ago I was sick and in the hospital quite frequently so school and work were always a struggle. The new symdecko drug has helped plateau the progression substantially and now over 10 years since high school Im going back to college to get a degree in mechanical engineering. My health is always on my mind and I know anything could happen at anytime but I’d rather use the better health I have now to work towards something instead of doing nothing in fear of what might happen half way through and feeling like its a waist of time. On my death bed Ill be able to look back and say at least I tried.
