Lost a sister to CF when she was just 21 years old over 50 years ago. I was diagnosed with CF 11 years ago when I was 64. I always knew I was likely a carrier of CF and had symptoms but as I aged lung capacity was declining. Most doctors said I was too old to have CF and just has bronchiectasis. Finally genetic testing showed I did have CF. DF508 and R117H. Good treatment has kept me going.
