That’s fantastic that you had a great firm that was really willing to fight for you and believed in you! Keep up the good work with Vests 4 Life!

COVID-19 aside, working a job in person isn’t always easy for people with cystic fibrosis. While working from home has benefited many, there are still those among us who aren’t as lucky and able to work.
What is your current employment status while living with CF? If you have stopped working, how did you decide, and was it difficult for you?

It’s awesome you’re able to take a modulator, even with a rare mutation. Hopefully there are quicker hospital stays for you along the horizon

All of us are no strangers to antibiotics. Some antibiotics carry side effects that we’d prefer not to have and that do not agree with our bodies. From personal experience, I experienced migraines for a few days on one antibiotic.
What are some side effects for you that you do not want to deal with? What are some side effects that you can push…[Read more]

Usually, I deal with feelings of isolation and loneliness by writing my thoughts out or just spending time with my dogs and wife. They’re the best company you can keep! Nowadays, I find community through the larger cf community online by relating to their stories and hopefully, maybe, they’ll relate to mine.

I’m going to copy my former colleague Jenny here and ask all of you the same!
What is a “win” you’ve experienced in the last month? Related to CF or other areas of life; big or small, silly or profound. Tell me something that you’ve been blessed with, a thing you’re kicking butt at, or an accomplishment you’re proud of.
Let’s cel…[Read more]

In last week’s column, I wrote about my favorite American football team, the New York Giants, and their win at Super Bowl XLII. Fifteen years later, it remains my favorite moment as a sports fan. While we do have a lot of Americans here, we also have a lot of people from across the globe and I’m sure they may have a favorite moment from foo…[Read more]

I didn’t know there was an age limit for the modulators! That’s actually really upsetting to hear. I’d really try to see if you can get them. I know this last go around I didn’t feel “better” until I was done with my home IV either. I really wish you the best of luck with your journey!

In October of 2021 AND 2022, I found myself in the hospital for pneumonia. I’m hoping the third time isn’t the charm this year. Coincidentally, I was admitted on the same day, October 25th.
Prior to this, I was admitted to the hospital over the years for a bunch of different reasons like complications from anesthesia, asthma, and dia…[Read more]
