May will be here next week! With May comes beautiful weather and the beginning of summer. The days get warmer and longer, and over here in New Jersey, the beaches down the Jersey Shore start to get packed.

This summer I’m hoping to spend more time outdoors—maybe some light hikes or just relaxing in a park with a book. I’ve also got a small garden project I want to start. Nothing big, but just enough to feel like I’m enjoying the season and giving myself something peaceful to focus on.

How far are you from the closest trail to where you live? Sometimes if they’re close people can be inclined to go constantly.

I’m actually not too far, maybe a 15-minute drive to a decent trail. It’s just a matter of dragging myself out the door sometimes , but once I’m out there, I always feel better. Trying to make it a weekly thing this summer.

15-minute drive? That’s dangerously close to becoming a “no excuse” trail. Nature’s out there calling like, “hey, it’s leg day again.”
