  Coughing in public – our point of view of others

  I’ve noticed I’m both sympathetic and cautious to others coughing in public. I get very uneasy if somebody is hacking up to the point where it sounds like it could be the flu or something contagious, but with that being said, I’ve been at the other end of people looking at you weirdly and that doesn’t feel good.

  1. How do you respond to others coughing loudly in public? Do you feel like you’re more or less understanding?
  2. Do you ever make comments to people? What do you typically say?
