Response to Feeling bad for myself as a part of healing
It’s important to pause and process the turbulences that come with CF, for patient columnist Wendy, it was particularly profound to realize that to heal you need to recognize those harsh time. Do you remember a time in your life that you had to stop and feel bad for yourself?
For me, I often have moments where I have to take a step back and process the magnitude of life in comparision to my own life. It’s overwhelming, and sometimes makes me feel small and incompetant. But, a lot of these feelings develop from the limitations of having CF. For me, what helps is looking back on old pictures and videos, which help remind me that this moment of self pity isn’t forever, and that CF isn’t forever.
