Weekly Highlights: Friday Feels
Who wants to do a Friday Roundup? We can comment and reflect on how our week went… the highs and lows… and what we hope for in days to come.
It has been a long week for me.
I had a doctor appointment on Monday that was super important: meeting with a GI specialist about what’s going on with my intestines. I am honestly rather worried (I feel weird saying that because it’s not my style) as I have lost some major weight and feel atrocious for it. I can’t run feeds through my feeding tube at high rates, because everything backs up and goes the other direction. So for every post you see here or bit of work I’m doing in the “real world”… there are hours of sickness behind the scenes (but isn’t that the life of a CFer, in a nutshell? lol)
I was super sad because the appointment didn’t yield any immediate results or long-term fixes, but I have one more in the future and… I’m told patience is a virtue? So….. The triumph is that I went and tried!
I had a nice Easter celebration with my family last Sunday (I won’t go into belief systems here, but the finer points: We respect and honor the many holidays being celebrated this spring by many religious systems!), and a lot of warm weather throughout this week which, suffice it to say, is the biggest Mood Booster for me on the planet! Perhaps because I grew up in South Florida and I am sadly a lizard (although an SPF wearing lizard)… but yes, I am a warm weather chaser at heart, even now living closer to mountains than sand.
