• What CF advocacy efforts are you involved in?

Columnist Tré LaRosa recently wrote about advocacy and cystic fibrosis. He went with his parents to Capitol Hill to meet with representatives and advocate for the CF community. Check out his column here!

I really like how this piece emphasizes that advocacy takes many different forms. I especially like this passage: “To me, advocacy is rooted in conviction. To advocate is to believe a better world is possible and to work to make that world a reality. It is a necessary endeavor — one that has contributed to the significant improvements in CF life expectancy over the past few decades. Sometimes, the impact of our efforts isn’t apparent for years, but over time, these simple, small actions become a tidal wave of progress.”

What CF advocacy efforts are you involved in? Do you have any experiences you want to share? Do you have questions about getting involved in advocacy groups?
