Dr. John LiPuma explains that pseudomonas is one of a group of bacteria that can affect the lungs of people who have cystic fibrosis. It’s one of the most common infections patients can get with an estimated 70 to 75 percent of young CF patients being affected by the bacteria at some point. Dr. LiPuma talks about the the risk of infection, the symptoms, where it comes from, and how the infection is treated.
