Nick Talbot Reflects on Being the First CFer to Climb Mount Everest

Recently, Nick Talbot became the first person with CF to ever climb the tallest mountain in the world: Mount Everest. 

Now, he’s decided to reflect on the final stage of his epic journey.

“I briefly removed my mask and hat and took out the CF Trust banner, remembering the many who will sadly never have this same opportunity. With the training and severe challenges which come at altitude, this was the hardest thing I had ever done in my life, every step and breath was a challenge. Yet for me this breathlessness was only for a month or two, the more serious sufferers of CF face this every day of their lives and ultimately have to hope for a lung transplant.”
