Little Girl’s Big Voice Sings for Cystic Fibrosis Awareness

11-year-old singer Rose Ostrowski, recently launched a mall tour featuring her new single, a cover version of Tesla’s “Life is a River.” But Rose isn’t singing for fame and fortune. Her sweetly powerful voice is raising awareness for cystic fibrosis, a chronic genetic disease that claimed her cousin Camilla’s life in 2012.

Camilla was only 21 when she died from CF complications. Since then, Rose has been determined to bring attention to the disease. Too young for the club scene, the talented 6th-grader from Columbia County, Pa., decided a mall tour through Pennsylvania would work just fine for spreading the word.  The next concert is 3 p.m., Oct. 8 at Lehigh Valley Mall, in Whitehall.
