Sharing CF Knowledge and Skills
Last week, I taught my 7-year-old nephew how to do a sinus rinse. He doesn’t have CF but has been having some sinus trouble for a few months. Sharing this with him was so much fun for me! It’s not very often that my specific CF skill set comes in handy.
Throughout the years, I’ve had friends and family members learn CPT to help with my airway clearance. Both my best friend and my cousin have told me in recent years that they’ve used it on their family members when they’ve been sick with productive coughs. This may seem silly, but knowing that they’ve been able to use this bit of knowledge in their own lives brings me so much joy!
Have you ever been able to help someone else with a bit of knowledge or the skills you’ve acquired through your experience with CF? What CF tips and tricks have you shared with people outside the CF community?
