This week I wrote about how far disabled rights have come and how far we still have to go in the United States.

What do you want your elected officials to do where you live to improve the lives of disabled citizens? Are there any laws you would make an amendment to?

While so many positive changes have been made, there is still a great deal of work to be done, and I am in agreeance with several of the points that you make in your column. I strongly believe in the importance of advocacy, and through powering together and using our voices, I hope to see a future where equal opportunities, experiences, medications/ therapies, resources, and tools are widely accessible to all, especially those who are in need.

Hopefully funding and legislation can bring upon a brighter future!

As far as CF drugs go, wish they could regulate the cost of the drugs all of us need. These drugs are so expenive and cause great stress on anyone that needs them.

It’s unfortunately so true. Life is already more expensive than it needs to be.
