It’s been a while since I’ve asked, and I am always genuinely curious…
What is the current COVID situation in your area?
What are case numbers like? Are vaccines being administered in your area? Have you been able to receive a vaccine (either one or both doses)? How “open” are things and what kind of restrictions are still in place?
Here in the United States, many of the regulations have been left up to each state. In my state (Utah) it is estimated that 22% of the population is now fully vaccinated with 925,000 or so at least partially vaccinated. As I’ve mentioned here before, I’ve received both doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. We continue to see positive cases, but at a much lower rate than we were previously experiencing. Much to my apprehension, many of our regulations (including a statewide mask mandate) will be stopped this month.
My family and I are still masking, limiting our interactions and outings, and waiting with bated (or masked?) breath to see what happens when those restrictions are lifted.
