• How do you deal with Tobramycin?

Tobramycin, a nebulizer, and inhaler, is one of the more effective antibiotics a person with cystic fibrosis can take. While it has great benefits such as helping eliminate or reduce pseudomonas, it does have strong side effects like nausea.

How do you deal with Tobramycin? Have you had mostly positive reactions? Have you had any negative side effects and, if so, which kind?

While I do not take Tobramycin myself, I do try to help those in my life with CF who take it.  It is important to watch for any reactions upon first taking it and throughout the duration as well as monitoring throughout for any improvement (such as less coughing or expelling more mucus).

It’s always helpful to have an extra set of eyes and ears. What we may think is normal is not always the case!
