There seems to have emerged a new ignorance/veil about covid. There is the argument that the pandemic has now ended and became endemic. You would think that this means that we have to keep vigilant and change our ways for good, and not only for a short time as we hoped when covid first emerged. But in stead, now the sentiment seems to swing entirely to the other side: let’s throw all caution to the wind and pick up our lives as if covid never happened. This causes a new disaster in the story of how we (don’t) deal with covid.

I wrote a Tale about this, but even more it is about all other forms of ignorance that have silently swept us away a long time ago without us noticing it. Ignorance and bad habits that got us into trouble and that covid exposed, much more than caused. These problems are much older than covid, but now they show as never before. We have covid to thank for that, and we should deal with them accordingly in stead of avoiding them as we habitually have done so far.

And of course there is a message of hope at the end as well.

It is called “The question(s) that Covid urges us to ask” and you can download it on our website here.
