Italian CF Society Offers Clinical Research Training to Physicians

SIFCInternational outsourcing services provider, CROMSOURCE, which works with pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies, is providing a series of training modules on the best practices for clinical research regarding specialized conditions, including cystic fibrosis (CF). The course is being organized by the Italian Cystic Fibrosis Society (SIFC) and is taking place until this February, according to a press release from the company.

The development of effective therapeutic options for the treatment of rare conditions such as CF rely primarily on the work of researchers and specialized clinics. Therefore, the course aims to increase clinicians’ capabilities to advance research projects and engage with patients under their care.

The SIFC believes that providing training for clinical research best practices to help physicians improve participation in clinical research programs and communication with CF patients is crucial. With this in mind, SIFC has partnered with CROMSOURCE, which leverages well-recognized experts in clinical research and has extensive experience in CF research, to conduct the training.CROMSOURCE

The course, which is being taught by CROMSOURCE personnel and will run until February, will train clinicians in subjects such as typical aspects of a clinical research study protocol, the responsibilities of the physician and clinical staff who are involved in clinical research, and the regulatory application and approval process for clinical research.
