Australian ‘Big Brother’ Winner Talks About Her Son’s Cystic Fibrosis

In this video shared by Studio 10 on their Facebook page, Australia’s 2003 Big Brother winner, Reggie Bird, joins the morning show panel and talks about what she’s been doing since the show and how her life has changed since getting married and starting a family.

Bird explains that her little boy Lucas was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis shortly after birth and briefly explains what the disease is and how it affects her son. She shares that Lucas needs physical therapy twice a day to help keep his lungs clear and needs to take medications to help him absorb nutrients from his food.
