Gaming Devices Used to Treat Children With Cystic Fibrosis
According to a report from wptv.com, cystic fibrosis patients at the Palm Beach Children’s Hospital in Florida are being treated in an innovative new way.
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust launches new A-Z video of cystic fibrosis aimed at children.
The hospital is using gaming devices to help young CF patients move around and stay physically active during their stay in the hospital. Using games like Just Dance, the children can participate in fun activities that will help improve their lung function and make their time in the hospital pass by more quickly.
The children are tasked with completing various dance routines to help keep their fitness up while staying in the hospital. Once they’re done, they’re allowed to continue playing other games on the devices to help pass the time and ease the boredom associated with long hospital stays.
