#NACFC2016 – 8 Program Highlights and Benefits
October is the month for the annual North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC) and this year the event will be staged in Orlando, FL. The NACFC is aimed at medical professionals and scientists who work in the cystic fibrosis field and the 30th annual conference is expecting delegates from all over the world to attend.
Some of the highlights and program benefits of the event are:
1. Plenary Sessions:
There will be three plenary sessions: one examining clinical research as a worldwide effort involving the CF community as a whole; one examining what has been discovered from data from the CF Foundation Patient Registry; and a third called “A Cure For All: Leaving No One Behind.”

2. Concurrent Sessions:
The three-day event will include discipline groups, a symposium session, workshop sessions, brown bag luncheons, round-table discussions and consultation clinics. There will also be pre-conference short courses and special classes on Wednesday, Oct. 26.

3. Networking Opportunities:
There will be plenty of chance to get to know others in the cystic fibrosis community at events such as the welcome session, poster sessions, the conference café, and the closing dinner with entertainment.
4. Deferred Registration for Limited Attendance Sessions
This year the NACFA will be emailing delegates to let them know when registration is open for some of the more limited attendance sessions.

5. Wi-Fi Lounge, Power Bar and E-Connect
There will be a Wi-Fi lounge for you to connect online, recharge your devices at the power bar and if you don’t have your laptop with you, you can connect to the internet with one of the complimentary computers at the event.
6. Live Lounge
A new addition to the conference, where delegates can access live streaming of the sessions while they are charging their devices or checking out the e-Posters.
