So far, I’ve been fortunate enough to not have anyone need to step up to advocate for me in a medical situation. However, I myself have been an advocate for both my husband and parents when they’ve in the hospital with serious medical issues. I listen and learn all that I can as to stay knowledgeable of their procedures throughout their stay, and do my best to ensure that they receive the help they need, as well anything at all that can possibly make their stay easier and more comfortable.
