Anxiety and Depression with CF: Men
Men are often socialized to believe that it’s strong or manly to not discuss their emotions or to deal with them by repressing them. This can complicate matters for everybody, but especially for men with a chronic disease.
- Do you feel like societal standards have affected the way you’ve dealt with your CF and the emotions that come with it?
- How have you moved past those feelings of needing to align with society, if you have? How would you like to keep moving forward?
- Do you feel like you’ve been properly screened by your clinic for anxiety or depression?
- In what ways can we make it a better environment for men to discuss these things?
