My freshman year of college, I lived with three random roommates. I’ve always been particularly open about my treatments and my CF, but it was still stressful, overwhelming, and scary to explain all of this to strangers. Sophomore year through senior year, I lived with friends I had known for most of teenage life so they were aware of everything I had to do for the most part. It was a totally different experience.

    1. If you’ve lived on your own, did you live alone, with friends, acquaintances, strangers? How did you go about explaining your CF if you even chose to disclose it?
    2. Looking back, how are some ways you could have gone about it differently? Is this advice you’d give to somebody else looking to move out on their own now?
    3. What are some good and bad things your roommates did in relation to your living with CF? (Obviously this is subjective; an off-hand joke to them may have been hurtful. Here’s a good place to vent or discuss those experiences.)
