Looking at the positives?
I used to be vehemently against the idea of “Looking at all the positives.” I thought by following this frame of thought, it undermined serious and often hard parts of life. Not to say I encouraged dwelling in the negative stuff, but I believe(d) that the “negative” also needed its fair share of appreciation.
And, I still believe that to an extent. But, I think harboring more energy in things that are seen as “positive” genuinely makes a difference in your mental state. There’s a balance, I suppose. I think it’s really important to lay out the hard stuff, to unravel it in your mind. But, then come back and remember what’s positive, and make that a focus going forward.
Maybe I’m too whimsical
1. How do you approach your mindset in life?
2. Do you believe in the idea of mind over matter?
