  Transparency – How do you raise your kid with CF?

  As I get older, I wonder more and more how my parents did it. They raised two kids with CF in a time where support was far harder to find. In today’s world, there are so many resources. The downside of that, however, is that now it can be harder to know if you’re doing things “right” since you can see everybody online. I believe this is probably doubly hard for parents of kids with CF.

  1. How young is your kid? How old were they when they got diagnosed?
  2. Are you open with them about it? Why or why not?
  3. Do you encourage them to be open? (Or will you, if they are younger?) Why or why not?
