I was blown away by the responses (some of which I have included here).
“It changes day to day.”
“It’s exhausting/time consuming. There’s so much behind the scenes that people don’t see.”
“How often we’re lying when we say we’re fine.”
“That it’s physically and emotionally painful. Every day.”
“That losing our friends never gets easier.”
“That we really wish we could be more productive.”
“How much pain and suffering we don’t show people.”
“Hospital stays and medical procedures don’t get easier the more we experience them.”
“That I’m actually grateful to have it because I faced and learned from hard life struggles early.”
What would you add to the list? If there were one thing that, more than anything else, you wish people understood about CF, what would it be?
