Yeast Infections

I don’t know if anyone needs to read this, but yeast infections are particularly common for women with CF and there’s actually very limited information about vaginal candida and women with CF.

But, because of the heavy duty antibiotics we’re exposed to — overgrowth of yeast/candida is common. I honestly think only one pulmonologist (a woman) told me I may experience a yeast infection and what to look out for. But, I remember being 12 years old not knowing why my vagina was on fire and very concerned and embarrassed that it was happening to me.
