MCLifeThe residential apartment brand MCLife, which belongs to MC Companies, is launching the #CFShoeSelfie campaign, with the main purpose of raising awareness about the chronic disease cystic fibrosis (CF). At a time when emails, social media, television, and advertisements bombard everyone with images that are easily forgotten, the company aims to distribute images and messages that remain in the public’s memory.

The #CFShoeSelfie campaign is asking everyone to take a selfie of their shoes and share it on social media with hashtag #CFShoeSelfie, in order to show their support of the cause, as well as to spread the message with friends, family and co-workers. According to the company, the pictures are more than just photos of shoes, they are a statement.

The main purpose of the campaign is to show patients who deal with the condition that their fight is not a solitary one, but that they have the support of others, particularly towards finding a cure for CF. The company notes that “Cystic fibrosis touches close to home with the MC family, which is why we are joining the fight against this heartbreaking genetic disease.”

In addition to the social media campaign, MCLife has announced that it is going to participate in Great Strides walks, which are being organized by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) in several locations throughout the country. The company will support Great Strides Tulsa, a walk that is taking place on Saturday, May 16, in order to raise funding to support medical research willing to find a cure for the disease that affects 30,000 people in the United States alone.

The company is spreading the word about Great Strides Tulsa, asking everyone to join the cause by making a donation to their team, as well as join the national discussion about the disease. The CFF works to provide a cure for CF, give a voice to CF patients and provide them better opportunities and access to high-quality, specialized treatment. There are also fundraising toolkits and other resources being offered to help advocates disseminate the message, as well as fundraising efforts to help the foundation.
