Cystic fibrosis (CF) patient Anne Barkley is 17-years-old and recently created a project called Cystic Fibrosis Tips N’ Tricks. The project started by the teenage activist is meant to help other people who are also dealing with the chronic and genetic disease that causes damages in the lungs and digestive systems. Due to a defective gene, patients suffer persistent lung infections, difficulties breathing and the formation and buildup of thick mucus in the lungs, pancreas, and other organs.

Barkley’s purpose is to create a forum where anyone can share what was helpful for them in fighting CF. Since there is a great variety of genetic mutations that may cause cystic fibrosis, each patient experiences different problems, but the activist believes that some of these tips can help others. “Cystic Fibrosis Tips N’ Ticks is a community-oriented space for CF families and friends to discuss topics and share stratagies for making the daily realities of CF easier,” explains the Barkley about her YouTube channel.

“I make videos to share my life hacks & experience in hopes of promoting sharing, discussion, and growth in the cystic fibrosis community. Make sure to click on advertisments and share these videos – all money generated from YouTube goes to Cystic Fibrosis charities or initiatives!” added Anne who is based in Toronto, Canada.
