According to the Daily Mail, singing Taylor Swift songs could help Ella, a 12-year-old girl with cystic fibrosis, to add years to her life and repair her damaged lungs. Last Monday Ella achieved another goal: she actually met her idol.

Ella Sinclair from Queensland’s Sunshine Coast was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at birth and has had several stints in hospital battling severe bacterial lung infections.

She endures three hours of physiotherapy each day before and after school and has to take several drugs and supplements just to keep the lungs functioning.

Keep fighting Ella.
