Exercising During Long Hospital Stays With Cystic Fibrosis

In this video from the Boomer Esiason Foundation, cystic fibrosis (CF) patient Jerry Cahill takes viewers through some of the core exercises and workouts he recommends during long hospital stays.

Jerry explains that keeping up with your fitness routine during long hospital stays is important and it’s particularly important to keep up with core work as it helps cystic fibrosis patients cough up mucus.  Jerry demonstrates some simple abdominal exercises that can be done in the hospital room such as leg raises using the top of the bed as support and bicycle kicks and planks.
