Fundraising is important to cystic fibrosis organizations like the U.K.’s Cystic Fibrosis Trust. The money helps support research into new therapies and possible cures, along with offering services to cystic fibrosis sufferers. There are many different types of fundraising events that appeal to the masses but some people want to really challenge themselves. To appeal to this group of thrill-seekers, non-profits need to up their game.

The CF Trust has come up with five amazing events which are not for the faint of heart: a 10km muddy obstacle course that can bring a grown man to tears; a trek up beautiful Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa; a climb up Ben Nevis, a.k.a. Scotland’s tallest mountain; an ultra-marathon; or braving the sea off the Cornish coast to swim a mile. These are all great fundraising options for those who want a little more action than a 5km run or walk.
